in between

The last outfit shot of me before my big move out of NYC...
I'm sure the city has much colder weather that would deem my outfit inappropriate, but it works for current conditions here in LA. I tend to throw on a larger piece of outerwear over a spring/summer silk dress in a sad little attempt to mentally hold onto one last ounce of warmer weather.

Thin summer dresses with oversized jackets and shorts with thick chunky sweaters... May seem silly, but when the mornings and evenings have over a 20 degree difference sometimes it just makes more sense.

my date with isabel

I stood & touched this number annoyingly long

the wooden beams & planks are an installation throughout the store and you can go inside of the pod

it's heavy and very very cool in real life

the watch & the clutch!!! [also, they add -ghost legs- athletic socks in their sandals]

leather sports shorts [!] - they come in red too

boots... shoes... boots

store windows with spinning mobiles & windmills

Another small tour of the Isabel Marant store down in SoHo.
Although fashion is in its' transition phase where we're full on in summer and the spring collection is getting a bit redundant and we're on our toes for the fall goodies, I thought you'd appreciate seeing the Manhattan location of this beautiful designer.
The store is located on the corner of Greene & Broome, and it's on the smaller side in square footage but the ceilings are lofty and the place is airy. I loved the wooden installations and mobiles incorporated in the space (especially the pod in the center that houses all the accessories and jewelry), and I snapped a few of my favorite pieces that were left.

Definitely a great place to stop by!

& we wait (pre-order) for theses babies to hit stores & be worn to death in the bloggospehere...

the streets of OZ

Please excuse this massive post in tribute to MBFWA SS 12/13
But we're completely infatuated with Australians, so bad that we either think we were once Aussies in a former life or we'd pack our bags and move there if we could (or both).

So many more photos to choose from, but here's our primary picks. We loved both the street style and the runway stills, large range in styles, themes and colors. And how appropriate is the timing of Romance Was Born's collection of Marvel Superheroes prints with tomorrow's US opening of the movie The Avengers?! Pretty Sweet.

Mix of sports gear, tie dye, leather, pastels, neon, sparkles & sheer lace + more.
Not bad, not bad.

And can we please have the linen/burlapy jacket that Zanita is wearing, by the way? Pretty awesome, and we're totally a sucker for jumbo leather elbow patches.

Too many great things to name, if you have questions, email/message us!

a radioactive hello to yellow

An ode to a favorite color: yellow

As if it got stun-gunned/tasered out of its mind, the old yellow has jolted up in its neon state. It honestly works better as an accent and is not for the faint at heart in large doses. Either way, it's approved on fox and minx's standards. We only live once so be bold and never be apologetic about bearing such a color.

*side note: I really need that sweater in photo number 2. keyword: NEED

P.S. HAPPY EARTH DAY! Much Love to Mother Earth (let's treat her well)
