Okay, so we're shaking it up a bit here...

If anyone knows me, I'm the type that loves minimalist/silhouette focused fashion and I tend to shy away from costume-like pieces. But I couldn't help myself with what recently went down the runway for Gaultier. 

Just in time for October and your Halloween costume inspiration! [sort of kidding...]

I'm a pretty big ass fan of Ziggy Stardust/David Bowie. So, this post is a must. And there's more to see of this collection! I just picked out Ziggy, Madonna and Michael Jackson for the first picks to get you in the mood!

utility pop

I know the neon trend isn't really big news, and the trend has waned a bit...

But combining the electro-pop color with some utilitarian goods, might be a nice revival to two things that have been all over the place. Plus, it's a way to give your larger & maybe loud wardrobe pieces a little longevity - that's never a bad thing; especially for your pocket!

I personally didn't invest largely into the neon/fluorescent fad - other than a couple of pieces here and there, but the military, utility and camo wear definitely has a multiplying effect in my wardrobe.

The first cobalt blue dress in a Roman Holiday-like setting triggered this post of electric blue hues. Lots of cool cerulean, cobalt, turquoise, royal & sapphire inspiration for your eyes.

When the price tag of a pair of denim overalls reach the price of $300-$500+ you know the fashion industry will describe it as: utility-chic, tom-boy cute, high-fashion farmer, refined rustic, luxe-grunge or whatever oxymoronic phrase with the addition of the word "chic" to dampen the loudness of the attire to help convince consumers/prospective buyers. 

I call it a nice healthy reminder of 90's fashion and I do not completely oppose the flashback since I honestly do own a pair from my 90's life today. Sports bra, heels, silk blouse, lace, leather, naked skin, bikinis, crop tops, blazer, tee... As you can see, the combinations are numerous.

Accept the challenge of wardrobe dismount/going to the bathroom
Not always totally justified, but why not? - Just do it better
